it might be interesting to have a thread where you discuss a hobby, something interesting that happened in the past, somewhere you've been, etc.. not deep, dark confessions - just interesting stuff.. .
* i have travelled into all 48 american states that are not named alaska or hawaii.. * for the past few years, i have had a slight walking impairment due to a form of arthritis known as ankylosing spondylitis.

hi all, just an update on my JW ex BF

Ha my ex basically did the same thing. She broke up with me so she could get in good with ol J-Dub in the sky. Unfortunately a year later she was married to some worldly guy who was a step (my opinion of course).

How do you react.....
by restrangled inwhen you see someone needing help in a public place?
i usually avoid eye contact, but then feel guilty all day.
for instance when you pull up to a light and people are standing there with a sign or actually walk up to your window...i won't ever roll down a window.. today i pulled into the local grocery store parking lot, and there standing with a walker, was a middle aged latino man with his lower legs in some sort of braces.

I'm with you Blue...I help but only if they really seem they need it. I was mugged recently at a bus stop by some guy asking if I had change for a 5. He was waiting for the bus and seemed like he wasn't the type. I opened my wallet and showed him I only had 2 dollars. He made a remark like, "damn now I have to walk to the store". So I just took out a dollar and said, "here man just take the dollar". He then asked if I had 20 cents on me and I said, "sorry can't help you". So I went to put my wallet back and he said, "oh you can help me!". He tried to grab my wallet but I had a death grip, I pushed him off of my wallet and he sized up to fight me. He said, "oh it's going to be like that huh?"? I squared up with my umbrella in hand and said, "yes it's going to be like that". He then did the completely unexpected he turned and ran down the street. Folks I am not a big guy and was very well dressed. I was completely expecting a royal ass kicking handed to me, but I figure I had to stand my ground. I got lucky but now when someone asks I am very suspicious.

What do you want us to do if YOU die?
by skeeter1 ingiven the faked linda death and a recent, personal friend who died...i think it's appropriate to gather our thoughts on our own death & funeral.. first, if you have a will please make sure it puts down your final funeral wishes.
i think all would roll over in the casket if our family members gave us a jw funeral.
i could see them doing this as a last effort to make us right with jah.. in my case, i'd like you to plant a tree/plant (even an anti-mosquito plant would do) in your yard.
